People and Culture Advisor

Our Auckland office is located in central Auckland and we have approximately 150 staff across our Audit, Business Advisory, Corporate Advisory, Tax and Support teams. About the role:
This role is unique in that it has both an internal and external focus. It is a full-time permanent role based in Auckland CBD. As a People and Culture Advisor you will be responsible for providing HR support internally, while also getting involved in our HR consultancy practice and providing advice to our clients. There will also be plenty of opportunity to follow your personal areas of interest within the people and culture space – for example ESG, data analytics or L&D.
Internally, your key responsibilities are:
- Leading the national graduate recruitment process, including formulating innovative graduate recruitment strategies to ensure we attract the best candidates, driving strong relationships with universities and graduate-focused organisations, and organising and attending graduate recruitment events and career fairs.
- Facilitating national graduate induction and ensuring the success of the Auckland office’s graduate and internship programmes.
- Day to day administration of people matters and maintaining personnel files.
- Providing general HR advice to our Managers and Directors, including issues around leave, performance and other areas.
- Involvement in a variety of internal HR projects.
- Involvement in internal committees such as Health & Safety, ESG and the national HR subcommittee.
Externally, you will have the opportunity to assist our team of People and Culture specialists in providing HR advice to a range of clients across different industries and build your skillset in the following areas:
- Employment Relations
- Health and Safety
- HR Policies and Procedures
- Recruitment
- Workplace Investigations
- Remuneration
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about HR, including early careers
- Has a tertiary qualification, preferably in HR or a related field
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of HR practices and related legislation
- Event management experience would be a bonus
- Commitment and motivation to continuous learning
